On the back, the elements that make the Camino unique intertwine: the arrow that guides, the majestic cathedral awaiting at the end, and the staff that accompanies every step.

Complete the Camino’s kilometers by uploading your steps, runs, workouts, or calories burned. Walk, run, cycle, swim, or train at home — our app converts your effort into kilometers that move you forward along this ancient route.

More information

The Camino de Santiago traces its origins back to the 9th century with the discovery of the tomb of the Apostle James the Greater in Galicia. According to legend, a hermit witnessed mysterious lights that guided him to the sepulcher, a finding later confirmed by Bishop Theodomir and King Alfonso II of Asturias. The king himself became the first official pilgrim. He ordered the construction of a church on the site, which soon became a center of pilgrimage and gave birth to the Camino de Santiago. Over time, the building expanded into what is now the magnificent cathedral.
